While traveling to Croatia with Bayern Munich to participate in a friendly match, Ali Karimi was successful in meeting two of his previous coaches.

In anticipation of this week’s game against Hertha Berlin, Magath’s men faced Croatia’s Auswahl.  The game considered to be a warm-up match for Bayern ended with Bayern emerging as 2 – 0 winners. Ali Karimi started for Bayern Munich and was subbed out along with seven other players at half time.

One of the interesting points about the game was Ivic and Stanko’s warm greeting of Karimi.  These coaches, who coached Karimi at Piroozi and the Iranian National Team respectively, approached Karimi before the start of the game and congratulated him, in addition to expressing their happiness for his presence with Bayern Munich.  Immediately after the end of the match, Karimi accompanied his team to the airport and returned to Munich, leaving him no time to reacquaint himself with his previous coaches.
